Cryptid File 001E - Nessie/Loch Ness Monster.
Location: Loch Ness, Scotland Type: Unknown Aquatic Reptile/Possible Plesiosaur. Evidence: Sightings, photographs, films. My Thoughts: When I was young, I had two obsessions: Dinosaurs and trains. Well, when I grew up a little, I was too old for Thomas the Tank Engine, but my love for dinosaurs stayed a little bit longer. That love faded and turned into Godzilla and has respawned in recent years. But, even as a child, I knew about that monster that lurked in Loch Ness...Its been 11 years since I remember drawing this crude plesiosaur drawing on a peice of loose leaf...and my scope on this beastie and the possiblities have changed. Do I beleive there is something in the Loch? Yes. Do I beleive its some kinda prehistoric relic? Ehh, not so much anymore. Though my opinion on the creature fluxuates...But, I still beleive there's some large in the lake. You have giant eels and seals (a rhyme, what a time!), gigantic amphibians, and some werid inverts. I have read many books on this too. The one I love the most is Roy P Mackel's book which title slips my mind. One day, I'll be on Loch Ness in a small fishing boat with a side of beef over the edge. Final Thoughts: Jerry Springer! Aha, anyway...I beleive there's something in the Loch known as Ness. What it is...Well, that's beyond me. Cryptid Files: [link] |
